A Raspberry Pi is a Microcontroller that has all of the fixings of a full-sized computer in addition to its I/O pins. Though they are only about the size of a credit card, they can fully run many Linux operating systems.

The Idea Shop currently stocks the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+

Hardware


The Pi 3 B+ comes with the following hardware connectors

  • Ethernet port
  • 4 USB 2.0 ports
  • HDMI port
  • Audio and Composite video jack
  • CSI camera connector
  • DSI touchscreen connector

The Raspberry Pi also comes with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities.

Software


As mentioned above, a Raspberry Pi is a full computer, and can run a variety of operating systems. Once set up, programs can be written for the Pi to control the GPIO pins and much else in
